The Food Hub in the Coal Creek Car Park, 12 Silkstone Road, Korumburra, Victoria, Australia

Climate change will bring lots of challenges for food production. A hotter, dryer climate with less rain that falls all at once are possibilities. How can we adapt? A wicking (self watering) bed is water efficient as plants are watered from below and there is less evaporation. The gravel filled reservoir at the bottom of the bed needs filling less often reducing watering frequency. Come along to the Food Hub in the Coal Creek car park and learn how to construct a wicking bed in this hands on workshop led by Juneen Schulz . Notes and support provided so you can use your new skills in your own food producing system.
