Monday 5th – Sunday 11th May is International Composting Awareness Week. The campaign is used to improve awareness of the importance of compost, a valuable organic resource and to promote compost use, knowledge and products. We can compost to help reduce carbon pollution by avoiding sending organic materials to landfill at the same time as helping to build healthier soils.
We invite staff at South Gippsland Shire to join the Sustainability Team for lunch and a movie to celebrate this event on Thursday 8th May from 12:30pm – 1:15pm in the Council Chambers.
RSVP is essential for catering purposes. RSVP by Friday 2nd May.
