The Victorian Government has set a target of net zero emissions by 2050 and is calling on all Victorians to take action to help achieve this goal.

On 9 June 2016, Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Energy, Environment, and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio launched TAKE2 - a voluntary pledge program to take action on climate change.

Sustainability Victoria is proud to be delivering the TAKE2 program that will assist businesses, local government, communities, schools and individuals across the state to get involved and be part of Victoria’s pathway to net zero emissions.TAKE2 pledges and commitments to action will contribute to Victoria’s first interim target to 2020 and inform future climate change policy.

We want all Victorians to TAKE2 by pledging to take action on climate change to be on track to limit global warming to below 2°C.

You’re invited to join us This is your opportunity to help shape Victoria’s voluntary multi sector climate change pledge program and to ensure it is robust, meaningful and relevant to your sector.

Over the two and a half hour session participants will help: • Determine what would attract you or others from your sector to pledge. • Test draft voluntary pledge themes and actions. • Determine what resources and support participants may need to take action. • Consider what participants may require to measure the impact of their actions.
