Information

Mark Brammer from the Strzelecki Heritage Apple Farm will return to the Manna Community Garden for his popular course on Winter Pruning this August 2017.

Mark and his wife Margaret are the custodians of a large collection of Heritage Apple Trees, which they established 17 years ago on a three-acre farm at the top of the Strzelecki Ranges.  The apple trees are grown sustainably using permaculture techniques. Mark will teach the essentials and benefits of pruning your fruit trees in the winter, and discuss different types of trees and which ones benefit more from a summer, rather than a winter prune. He will demonstrate pruning on a variety trees in the Foster community area.
