WASTE -we make it – we need to deal with it! Our group wants to take action in our community to reduce, and improve the management of, waste. We want to reduce the environmental impact of waste but also look for local solutions which strengthen our community. We began the journey, in 2015, by talking about setting up a tip shop as a social enterprise. We now have lots more ideas - reducing the use of plastic, reducing and dealing with e-waste, making it easier to dispose of small items such as batteries, mobile phones and X-rays and supporting the introduction of a third organics bin. Join our group and contribute your ideas and opinions.
