Following the great success of the Heyfield Sustainable Living Festival in 2013 another festival is scheduled for 2014. The Festival will be conducted in Heyfield by the award winning Heyfield Community Resource Centre on Saturday the 1st November 2014. The 2013 Festival held on Saturday 2nd Nov. 2013 was visited by over 2,000 spectators and 63 exhibitors show casing their products and sustainable practices. The Heyfield CRC are well known and respected in the world of sustainability having received many awards and the next stage of our sustainability program is to showcase the new and emerging technologies for homes and businesses. We are truly a community resource with our staff and volunteers delivery many varied program to our community. We are a not for profit organisation and have been operating for 30 years in Heyfield. Our reputation as a reliable and ethically sound organisation is well known. The Festival will be held on the grounds situated between George and Mary Street in Heyfield (opposite the pool). These grounds are large enough to host our trade exhibitions, food stalls, family fun activities and the many visitors that will be attending on the day. Focusing on sustainable living options our Festival will be a valuable way for businesses and community organisations to interact with the public. Exhibitors will be able to showcase their products, conduct demonstrations and provide practical information. From new garden techniques to alternate power sources to water conservation to electric and hybrid cars to the larger life choices - it will all be there. Learn from the sustainable practices of others. Entry will be free for all spectators on the day.
