Commencing in 1996 the Labertouche Landcare and Sustainable Farming Group has conducted many on farm and public reserve projects. Extensive tree plantations were destroyed in the Black Saturday Bushfire of February 2009, these have been replanted with local and outside community involvement. At present we are looking at projects relating to Feral animals in the Labertouche area in addition to continued tree planting as required.

On the 19th August this year - 2016 - we will be holding a Dinner to celebrate 25 years of Landcare in Labertouche with guest speaker David Packham O.A.M., acclaimed Bushfire Scientist and local musician and singer Emily Murdica. The dinner will commence at 7 pm at the Labertouche Community Centre on Labertouche Road, the cost is $30.00 per head, and bookings can be made by contacting Geoff Hudson on 0408343992 or be email at geoffhudson@roundhayfarm.net.au
