Throughout the Latrobe Valley there are people who are helping our community to move more, eat well and connect with others. The Latrobe Health Champions movement wants to share and celebrate these stories.

Our current Health Champions have started a walking group, joined a community garden, helped at a community kitchen, started a craft group to connect local community members, and cooked healthy meals for their new Sudanese neighbours.

Maybe you know someone who has started walking to school with their children instead of driving. Maybe you are sharing the produce from your garden, or you write a healthy eating blog. Whatever your health passion, the Health Champions movement wants to celebrate and support these efforts.

The Health Champions movement is about supporting people to improve their own health and to influence the health of their families, friends and community in the places where they live, work, learn, and play.

Health Champions are provided with advice, support and events that inspire collaboration with a network of inspiring, like-minded peers.

You can nominate yourself, a friend, family member or colleague.
