The Phillip Island Landcare Group encourages sustainable land-use, business practices and lifestyles, promotes the conservation and restoration of native biodiversity on Phillip Island and throughout Victoria. The group deals with erosion, salinity, soil health and the planting of shelter belts for on-farm outcomes and works closely with the Phillip Island Nature Park and corporate partners to maintain and improve the Island’s unique natural assets and to create the Phillip island wildlife corridor and bio-links. An Urban Landcare program works with homeowners to increase indigenous plants in home gardens and provides workshops on various environmental and sustainability related topics.
